On Thursday (18/12), the Department of Civic Education, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, University of Yogyakarta explored cooperation with The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). The meeting was organised by the Division of Languages and Communication, College of Professional and Continuing Education (CPCE) PolyU. The meeting aimed to strengthen academic relations and initiate cooperation in the development of civic education and cross-cultural learning.

During the meeting, both parties discussed potential collaborations that could be implemented in the form of knowledge exchange, joint curriculum development, and opportunities for students and lecturers to learn from each other through international programmes. The main focus of this collaboration is capacity building in the field of global civic education and strengthening intercultural communication skills, which are highly relevant in today's era of globalisation.

This collaboration also opens opportunities for UNY to expand its international network and introduce a Pancasila-based learning model that is more integrated with the global context. Both institutions hope that this meeting will be a starting point for further collaboration that will not only benefit lecturers and students, but also increase UNY's contribution to international education.
