2025 Citizenship Award: A Form of Appreciation and Nationalism Spirit of UNY Civic Education Students

Yogyakarta, November 9, 2025 – The Department of Civic Education (PKn) of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Yogyakarta State University, successfully held the “2025 Citizenship Award” event on Saturday, November 9, 2025, at the ISDB Building, 4th Floor, UNY. This annual event serves as a platform to honor and appreciate students and alumni who have demonstrated dedication, achievement, and outstanding character in various fields, while also reinforcing the values of active citizenship in the academic environment.

The event began with a lively and enthusiastic atmosphere. The Master of Ceremony opened the event at 09:30 a.m., followed by a performance by Civic Action 2, which captivated the audience with choreography depicting national spirit and social awareness.

Next, the event continued with the most anticipated moment, namely the reading of the nominations for Outstanding Students in the field of Sports by the nomination committee. These nominations were given to PKn students who have made outstanding achievements in the world of sports, both at the university and national levels.

Moving on to the next session, participants were treated to the Dimas Diajeng 2025 Selection I event, which took place from 9:50 AM to 10:45 AM. This activity served as a platform for PKn UNY students to showcase their academic abilities, personality, and national awareness as candidates for inspirational student ambassadors.

After a short break, the event continued with the reading of the Student Character nominations at 10:50 a.m. This award is intended for students who consistently demonstrate politeness, responsibility, and social awareness on campus.

The event then continued at 11:05 a.m. with the reading of the Inspiring Alumni nominations, as a form of appreciation for UNY Civic Education alumni who have made real contributions to society and become role models for active students.

Closing the series of activities, the Civic Action 3 performance once again enlivened the atmosphere with a creative display that depicted the values of Pancasila and the spirit of progressive citizenship.

Through the 2025 Citizenship Awarding Ceremony, the Department of Civic Education, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Yogyakarta State University seeks to foster a culture of appreciation, strengthen student character, and encourage positive collaboration between academic generations. This event is not only a moment of appreciation, but also a reflection of a shared commitment to developing intelligent, characterful, and patriotic academics.
