On October 16, 2025, the Pancasila and Civic Education Study Program (PPKn) of Yogyakarta State University held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD), collaborative research, and signed a cooperation agreement with the PPKn Study Program of Halu Oleo University, Kendari. The event took place in a warm and productive academic atmosphere, attended by lecturers, researchers, and students from both universities.

The event began with an opening session that emphasized the importance of synergy between universities in strengthening the three pillars of higher education, particularly in the field of research and development of citizenship education. In their remarks, representatives of both study programs expressed their commitment to strengthening cooperation in the form of collaborative research, joint scientific publications, and the development of contextual PPKn learning innovations. The FGD was attended by the Head of the Civic Education Department, Prof. Dr. Suyato, M.Pd., the Department Secretary, Dr. Iqbal Arpannudin, M.Pd., the Coordinator of the Master's Program in Civic Education, Prof. Dr. Marzuki, M.Ag., and Dr. Budi Mulyono, M.Pd. as a lecturer in Civic Education. Through the FGD, collaborative research, and cooperation, it is hoped that a sustainable academic relationship will be established between the Civic Education Study Program at Yogyakarta State University and the Civic Education Study Program at Halu Oleo University. Both parties hope that this synergy will not only be limited to ceremonial activities, but will truly be realized in the form of productive research collaboration, exchange of knowledge and experience, and development of PPKn learning innovations that are relevant to current national and global challenges.
