The Department of Civic Education (PPKn) at Yogyakarta State University (UNY) and the Department of Civic Education at Indonesia University of Education (UPI) Bandung have officially established a strategic partnership in the field of Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi. This collaboration was marked by the signing of a joint agreement by the heads of both departments as an effort to strengthen academic networks, expand research collaboration, and improve the quality of learning and community service in the field of Civic Education.

This cooperation covers various programmes, ranging from student exchanges, joint scientific work compilation and publication, curriculum development, to the implementation of community service projects oriented towards strengthening civic character in various regions. Through this collaboration, both institutions hope to produce educational innovations that are more responsive to national challenges, including strengthening digital literacy in citizenship, democracy, and Pancasila values for the younger generation.

The synergy between UNY and UPI is also seen as an important step in strengthening the role of PKn academics at the national level. By combining the strengths of each institution, this Tridharma collaboration is expected to make a real contribution to the development of Civic Education in Indonesia, while strengthening the role of universities as centres for the study and practice of democratic, inclusive, and character-building citizenship.
