Yogyakarta, November 10, 2025 — The Department of Pancasila and Civic Education (PPKn) at Yogyakarta State University (UNY) received an academic visit from the PPKn Department at Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) as part of a Visiting Lecturer program and to strengthen cooperation between universities. The event took place at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) UNY in a warm and enthusiastic atmosphere.

The visit aimed to expand academic networks, exchange experiences in the field of civic education, and discuss opportunities for research collaboration and curriculum development based on national values in the digital era. During the event, guest lecturers from ULM delivered a public lecture on “The Transformation of PPKn Learning in Building Civic Engagement in the Digital Era.”

The public lecture was attended by students, lecturers, and educational staff of the UNY Civic Education Department. In his speech, the Head of the UNY Civic Education Department expressed his appreciation for this collaborative initiative and emphasized the importance of synergy between universities to strengthen character and civic education in Indonesia.

Meanwhile, representatives from the ULM Civic Education Department stated that the Visiting Lecturer program is a concrete step toward realizing sustainable academic cooperation, particularly in the areas of research, lecturer exchanges, and the development of innovative civic education learning methods.
